Dear Waring Community,
Welcome to the 2021 Waring School Online Spring Fundraiser!
This annual event has always been a way to gather our community together to support the distinctive education Waring provides to students. This year we need a chance to experience that sense of connection more than ever.
Even in this uncertain time it is important to note that Waring, like most schools, needs to raise funds to support financial aid, academic programs and other Covid-related expenses. This event is our largest fundraiser of the year and Waring relies on the funds raised to support programs that directly benefit our students. We recognize that there are many philanthropic priorities this year and that it is a difficult time for many in our community. With this in mind we have included items available at a range of price points. The money raised from your purchases will go to support Waring’s faculty, students, and strong academic programs.Our online auction will culminate with a virtual celebration on Saturday, April 24 at 7:30PM when we will gather as a community from our own living rooms for some special entertainment. How to Participate
Online Auction - Beginning Saturday, April 17 at 8AM and ending on Saturday, April 24 at 7:30PM, we will have an online auction. Visit waringschool.org/auction to browse a range of fantastic handcrafted items, trips, unique experiences, local gift certificates, and more. Purchased items will be mailed or dropped off to recipients.
Virtual Celebration - This week of online fundraising will culminate with a Virtual (not just Zoom!) evening event showcasing the incredible art, music, theatre, and STEM work our students have accomplished throughout this challenging year. We will show the happenings inside of the brand new school building. A few other surprises are in store as well! While nothing will ever replace the soirées, grandparents’ day, live theatre performances, and other beloved community events, we hope these events will allow us all to commonly share a great experience. Save the date to join the celebration on Saturday, April 24 at 7:30PM.
Premium Wine Raffle - For as little as $20, you could win big. Tickets are $20/each or 6 tickets for $100 and can be purchased at waringschool.org/auction. Only 300 tickets will be sold. The drawing will take place at our virtual party on Saturday, April 24 at 7:30PM. Wine cannot be shipped and will be delivered locally to the winner, within 50 miles of Beverly, MA.
Check Out - Credit cards for purchases will be charged on Monday, April 26 using the credit card you provided during the online registration. Each bidder will receive an email receipt for their purchase(s). Items won in the online auction will be mailed to the address provided when you registered. If you wish to pay with another form of payment besides the credit card you provided online, please notify Laura Bitler at lbitler@waringschool.org.
Gift Certificates/Arrangements* - For items and services represented by gift certificates, responsibility for claiming the item rests with the purchaser. Please claim these items by the time specified on the certificate or within one year if no time is indicated. Arrangements for vacation homes, getaways, and outings should be made as soon as possible even if the agreed upon time or date is TBD.
*If for some reason the voucher, tickets or gift certificate you have purchased at the online auction is no longer valid as a result of the ongoing public health crisis, Waring will refund your purchase or you can donate your auction payment and receive a tax credit.
